WHAT WORKOUTS DOES THE 8-WEEK SPEED DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM HAVE?

The 8-week sprint training program includes workouts which are designed to be used in the MAIN COMPETITION PHASE of an athlete’s in-season. You should have a basic level of general fitness, such as from running, sprinting or lifting weights for at least the last few months. You should already be competing in early season competitions whether indoors or outdoors competition. Ideally, these workouts are preparing you for state or national competition. Each workout you should be using at least once a week along with your lactic tolerance sessions. 

    WHAT TYPES OF ATHLETES CAN BENEFIT FROM THIS 8-WEEK SPEED DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM?

    This program is designed for the short sprints (200-400m), as well as any athlete who needs to sprint between 300 yards or 400m for their sport or testing. This program works for athletes in the following events as well as team sports athletes.

    The program requires access to blocks, small cones, grass or track, joggers, spikes and a stop watch so you can see how well you're progressing.
